Default HP cap??

are there HP caps for characters under level 20? I'm a E/Me17 and can't get my HP above 488. I just bought a minor rune of vigor and applied it to my leggings and nothing happens. Take em off, put them back on..nothing. I have a major vig on my gloves, take em off HP drops 40, put em back on back to normal. So I take em both off, but the leggings back on and bam, +30 to my health. Put the gloves back on and don't get the +40 but only get up to 488 (+15 health or somethin). Can I not get above 488 until I real lvl 18 or until I pass 20? (omg please no)

No, it's just that you can only have 1 rune of a specific type equipped at once. So the most extra life you can get out of runes is one superior rune worth. (50 life I think)

okay what about this: without any vigor runes i have 490 life, with a minor vigor rune i have 520 which is correct but when i switch it with a major vigor i have 521...

there must be a hp cap or else why would a major vigor only give me 31 life with no other vigor runes!

yeah exactly, you guys must not have read my post all the way through, because I said I had a minor vig on my leggings and a major on my gloves. put the leggings on, +30 health, put the gloves on (in addition to the leggings) only get enough extra health to get me to 488, NOT the full 40

No, the post was read and replied to correctly. You only get the bonus from ONE of those runes. To be specific whichever one is higher. You can't get a minor AND major bonus, you'll only get the major. So when you equipped the minor first it gave you the bonus for the minor rune, but when you equipped the piece with the major rune, it removed the minor bonus and replaced it with the major bonus.

ok the information I gave was incorrect. I really had 480 life without any runes, a vigor minor ALONE gave me 510 which is correct, and a vigor major ALONE gave me 521. This is all correct except why is the major vigor giving me 41 health instead of 40 lol?

I think there is a % that the vigor runes add or maybe they are just +or- the hp people say because I had 530 hp with my warrior with minor vigor when I upgraded to major vigor I have 541 hp

From what I have experienced, minor runes give 30 to health major 41 and superior runes give 51 (course the major and superior were used prerelease). So check your math again, if there is a problem maybe it's a bug. You can also get fortitude weapon upgrades and/or left hand stuff (ie..shields, anchs and stuff) with + to health both permanent and if your health is above or below some %, hexed or in a stance. The most I can remember is +28 on both except for the shield you get from the preorder which is +30. And there are skills that both add and take away from your total health.

I seem to remember minor vigor giving 21 to health pre-release. Hmmm...

wow.. that is.. in my opinion, very retarded. it makes it so, having more than a superior rune of vigor and another sup rune of your choice the stupidest mistake you could ever make.

I think they should really re-implement the runes differently. because with the system they're using.. there really isn't much of a use for them.

If runes didn't stack, say hello to 500k superior vigors and other key superiors. Demand would go up so much that the price will skyrocket. It also brings in an issue of balance.

that's not a bad thing man.. people who have finished the game with atleast one character have too much money and nothing to buy.

I would enjoy having something to do besides finishing my skill list.
